We are keen to work with universities and colleges across the UK where we can work together to engage your local schools, supporting your outreach activities. WRO gives your staff and students the chance to work with the teams as mentors but it also give you the chance to provide them with additional skills training, bring them onto your campus to introduce young people to higher education and to showcase your facilities to the students and their teachers.

• Volunteering - mentors, advice for coding, roboteering, project management etc.

• Venues - hosting regional tournaments

We are keen to work with businesses across the UK where we can work together to engage your local schools, supporting your outreach activities. WRO gives you the opportunity to sponsor the competition and it gives your staff the chance to work with the teams as mentors, to provide them with additional skills training and to bring them to your sites to provide careers information and to showcase your facilities to the students and their influencing adults.

To ensure costs are not a barrier to participation for teams we fund WRO UK through grants, donations and sponsorship. If you’d like to help, please get in touch with Gareth. We’d be delighted to talk to you.

are there different levels of sponsorship?

The arrangements that we make are bespoke but we have different categories of sponsorship. You can find out more at the Support WRO UK page.

What recognition do we get for supporting WRO UK?

The arrangements for recognition are tailored and proportionate to the level of sponsorship. These will involve a range of logo and web placement opportunities alongside the chance to highlight your community and social responsibility work on WRO collateral, at events and on social media. We like to make it collaborative as we will work with your marketing and PR teams to provide you with content for your channels and networks. You can find out more at the Support WRO UK page.

how long can we support wro UK for?

We appreciate your support for however long you can provide it. The impact of STEM interventions is so much better if they are building up what is known as science capital in the lives of those young people, which requires repeated engagement over several years. Ideally, if you can make WRO UK part of your community and social responsibility work for the long-term not only will you help to ensure that WRO UK can grow and continue engaging with young people for many years but you’ll raise your profile amongst them and in the community.
